Are those pots earthenware? If yes, then the growth of your sweet potatoes in pots is more eco friendly than growing in synthetic sacks.

Maybe with your environment/weather, 4 days may be too long. After u have collected your rice water, just smell it every day until u smell that it has changed from a plain smell to a sweetish one. That's the time u can add to the milk already
